Westlake Village, CA — Surfware, Inc., developer of SURFCAM® CAD/CAM systems, demonstrated SURFCAM with live machining throughout the Demo Day, "Survival of the Fastest", Demo Day 12 at the HAAS Factory Outlet, a division of Jeffrey in Alpharetta, GA just North of Atlanta. The event was held on Wednesday June 20th.

"The material removal rates that can be achieved with SURFCAM Velocity must be seen, heard and felt to be believed, and partnering with an organization like HAAS gives us the chance to showcase our product with an excellent line-up of machines that truly take advantage of this technology," said Don McKillop, president of CAMcad Technologies, the SURFCAM solutions partner in the Southeast US.

McKillop also added, "Combining the high quality, high speed and rock-solid rigidity of the HAAS products with the Tool Engagement Management by TrueMill®, provide far less stress on the tool, spindle, part & fixture than traditional CAM toolpaths - you can really see, feel and hear the difference during cutting. HAAS has both the reputation and products that match our high standards of products and services."

Skip Birskovich, Hass Specialist from Jeffrey's Manufacturing Solutions Inc. said, "See the Haas Super Speed Milling machines with SURFCAM Velocity's TrueMill tool path. See how fast we can cut with OSG's Shrink fit tooling, the 12,000 rpm spindle and with SURFCAM TrueMill tool paths. Bring your speed and feed calculators and see how you compare."

Members of the CAMcad Technologies team were also on hand to demonstrate how TrueMill works as well as other new functionality in the recently released version 3.0 SP1 of the SURFCAM Velocity CAD/CAM series.
