The New Takumi U600N Full 5-Axis Machining Centre

The well-established Takumi U600 5-axis machine has been redesigned to the U600N in order to provide better operator access, improve swarf evacuation and enhance machine performance. Direct front access, the repositioned control panel and a sliding top cover make it easier for the operator to load and reach parts in the working zone.

Changes have also been made in the design and construction. The Y & Z axis strokes are bigger, spindle power/torque is 10% greater (BBT40) and twin augers clear chips more efficiently, important when running unmanned. The HD linear roller guideways on the Y axis are now 80mm further apart for greater stability whilst maintaining the extremely high machine accuracy, with the machines built to the more exacting VDI3441 standards.

This year, Takumi have shown an increased presence within U.K. manufacturing with new machine orders. The U600 and UR1000 are just two of the machines that have been supplied and the users, who are manufacturing high precision components, have expressed their confidence in the brand by continuing with further investments in Takumi machines.
