THK Introduces its New SHS LM Guide

From THK, the innovators of the linear motion guide, comes the latest offering in THK's family of caged ball products - the SHS LM guide featuring caged ball technology. This new technology offers reduced ball-to-ball friction and heat for highspeed performance and increased product life, a torque deviation that is 1/10 th of traditional models for increased accuracy and consistent operation, no ball-to-ball contact for significantly reduced noise, and pockets for lubricant retention for long term low maintenance operation.

The SHS LM Guide along with THK's innovative caged ball technology uses a retainer to separate and align re-circulating balls, for a smoother and more consistent gliding motion. Balls roll through four rows of precision-ground raceways formed between the LM rail and LM block. The end plates at both ends of the LM block cause the balls to circulate through the rolling tracks.

Ideal for use in machine tool applications, THK's SHS can be used in a wide range of applications. Each row of balls are arranged at a 45° contact angle for 4-way equal load ratings in radial, reverse, and both lateral directions.
The SHS provides high rigidity, excellent durability, and a self-adjusting capacity for uneven surfaces. Given an uneven load, the balls will not produce a differential slip, the result excellent wear resistance and accuracy.
