THK continues to make great strides in linear motion innovation with the addition of its Linear Servo Actuator (LSA), Sabre Series.

Now comparably priced to conventional rotary motor mechanisms, linear motors prove to perform with greater accuracy, repeatability and speed. With the LSA Sabre Series, THK brings additional advantages to the table. Featuring a "Plug-N-Play" design, LSASeries set up, from box to wired, takes less than 10 minutes. And THK's LSA Series is available in complete, ready-to-run packages. A flexible design, the LSA Series is easily customized, and can accommodate other manufacturer's amplifiers.
The LSA Series operates at up to 4 m/sec. at 0.3 micron digitized encoder resolution (with the standard digital amplifier), and at forces up to 1080 N. Extremely rapid accelerations are achievable. The linear encoder and magnets of the LSA Series are fully enclosed for protection and virtually maintenance-free operation. What's more, the cable carrier is easily field-replaceable, and the entire cabling layout has easy assembly connectors.

For added benefit, THK has included the SSR15W LM guide in their design. Featuring revolutionary Caged Bal1TM technology, this guide performs at high speeds, with less friction MORE and noise. SSR15W guides also reduce the system's mass and size, without effecting the estimated life.

Other advantages of THK's LSA include: t-slotting for maximum mounting flexibility (including in XY configurations), a zero contact mechanism with zero lash and zero wear characteristics, viscous energy shock absorber end stops and a built-in heat sink with a 1/4" hose fitting for cooling stability.

The LSAis available in three standard carnage/coil lengths and 12 standard base lengths.
