THK Introduces the Type SSR Super Silent LM Guide

THK America Inc., a leader in linear motion technology introduces the innovative Type SSR super silent LM guide.

Featuring a special ball retainer, the Type SSR offers virtually noiseless operation along with increased speed and durability. Surrounded by the retainer, the balls roll along four precisely ground rolling grooves on the LM rail and the LM block. Additionally, the retainer helps maintain the spacing of the balls, which prevents friction.

Acting as oil pockets, the ball retainers enhance grease retention and long-term maintenance-free conditions. With less bearing stress and friction velocity, the Type SSR=s reduced heat generation results in increased speeds and a longer product life.
