THK, the leading and original manufacturer of linear motion guides, introduces a revolutionary approach to LM guides with its new family of products featuring caged ball technology. Using a retainer that separates and aligns the re-circulating ball bearings, this new technology offers a smoother and more consistent gliding motion.
THK's caged ball technology eliminates heat associated with ball-to-ball friction, for increased speed and a longer product life, and as there is no ball-to-ball contact, noise is reduced. A torque deviation 1/10th of standard designs further improves accuracy and consistent operation.
Located within the ball cages are grease pockets designed to retain lubricant and minimize long term maintenance. THK's new caged ball technology is especially effective in medical device and semiconductor inspection applications and is available in three models of LM guides, the SSR, SNR, and SHS.
