The UL-approved WZK Quadraform safety switch is designed to fit nearly anywhere to provide safety switch protection for machine tools, presses, welding robots, powered conveyors, transfer lines, and any potentially hazardous machinery surrounded by a protective cabinet, guard, or fence.

Measuring 1- × 1- × × 2.8-in., this compact switch can fit onto or inside the aluminum or steel extrusions used to frame cabinet doors and openings. The "quadraform" housing provides mounting holes on four faces for mounting and operation in any direction, while the device's captive "key" design holds small sliding doors closed, eliminating the need for a latch.

The switch allows doors, gates, hatches, and lids to be wired in series with the machine, ensuring that the machine will shut down when the protective barrier is opened and reducing the risk of operator injury. The safety switch uses a key-like actuator to make or break contact. Attached to the door or gate frame, the actuator pulls out of the switch mechanism when the door or cover opens, stopping the machine. Three independent contacts on the actuator allow users a choice of NC/NC/NO or NC/NO/NO configuration for application versatility.

The switch comes with a locking pin that can be used to prevent actuator removal, in addition to a 2 m PVC fixed cable, with special lengths available upon request. The device carries IP67 and CE compliance and is rated for Group C protection. The switch also meets ANSI requirements for positive opening, tamper resistance, and fail-to-safe operation.
