Wilton Corp, Machinery Divisional Vertical Tilt Frame Band Saw, Model VTF-8, features an expanded miter cutting capability of 45° to the left and 60° to the right. The device has a linear guidance system and advanced direct drive powertrain to minimize maintenance. The linear guidance system's has saw head travels on two rails, which utilize two linear guides with 60 recirculating balls in each guide. Each guide is fitted with way wipes to ensure that chips do not interfere with the cut or travel of the saw head, providing a smooth, even feed of the head.

The direct drive powertrain is coupled with the latest AC inverter variable-speed technology, eliminating the need for belts or chains. The "no belt" system maximizes the power of the motor to the blade and minimizes vibration. The gearbox uses hardened and ground steel gears with a bronze worm gear and is permanently sealed with grease to ensure long life. A hydraulic feed system ensures a smooth, constant feed pressure on the blade whether cutting solids, shapes, or tubing. For harder or softer materials, the operator can easily increase or decrease the feed pressure by turning a knob on the front control panel, which provides the operator with the ability to fine tune the system.
