Vertical Chucker Lathe
The NC-controlled ram-type tool head has a vertical travel of 17 ¾ in. and horizontal travel of 2 in. center to left and 29 ½ in. center to right. Maximum cutting force is 1320 lb and maximum torque to 1080 ft-lb with power from a main motor rated at 40 hp for 30 minutes or 29 hp continuous service.
Standard features on the O-M lathe include a four-jaw independent chuck table, automatic forced lubrication for slideways, pendant control with MDI and CRT display, and a coolant system with splash guard. For added productivity, options are a 3-jaw hydraulic chuck table with high/low chucking pressure control, two station rotary type automatic pallet changer, random indexing automatic tool changer, part and tool probing systems, chip conveyors, and column extensions.
