Govro-Nelson Company000 vertical indexing machine uses a Hirth gear for precision indexing for producing three-way fittings, as well as greater location accuracy and rigidity, which increases part production.

Designed for high production, the machine can produce a family of tees and elbows from a variety of materials with holes ranging in size up to 0.75-in. NPT in mild steel. The machine offers a five second cycle time and a part production rate of 720 per hour. The machine also features eight stations with self-centering, two-jaw chucks to hold parts. Up to 18 machining units can be configured on the machine depending on the operations required.

The machine includes 12 Govro Model 46 drilling units that perform various cutting operations on three sides of the parts. Operations performed include creating a through-hole using opposed drilling heads, chamfering, and tapping using opposed tapping heads and hollow milling.
