The Haas VF-5/50, with 50" x 25" x 25" (xyz) travels, is a mid-sized VMC with the power and torque of a 50-taper machine, in a compact, heavy-duty package designed to meet today's machine shop demands. The VF-5/50 is perfect for such industries as mold making, tool & die and model making. The 30-hp, 50-taper spindle provides up to 450 ft-lb of torque, and a 2-speed gearbox provides low-end torque for cutting steel as well as speeds to 5000 rpm for cutting aluminum. Heavy-duty 40 mm ballscrews on all axes provide superior cutting rigidity. A 30 + 1 side-mount tool changer is standard on the VF-5/50.
