Winbro Strikes Technology Partnership With ETG

We are pleased to announce that Winbro has signed a Distribution and Technology Partnership agreement with the UK’s leading machine tool and turnkey solution provider, Engineering Technology Group (ETG). Wellesbourne-based ETG already represents twelve conventional machine tool companies, including Winbro's parent company Quaser, and believes that the addition of Winbro’s non-conventional machining technologies will ideally complement their existing portfolio.

Whilst Winbro is the recognised world leader in non-conventional machining of turbine components, we would like to diversify into other markets and have already achieved some success in electronics and medical applications. ETG’s relationships with literally hundreds of companies in every industrial sector will greatly accelerate this process, enhancing our route to market in other industries.

ETG will represent Winbro across the UK and Ireland offering our High-Speed EDM Drilling, Laser Drilling, Cutting & Ablation, Creep Feed Grinding and ECM (Electro Chemical Machining) machines to new sectors.

Winbro’s Chief Commercial Officer Andy Lawson says: “We are delighted to form this partnership with ETG, which is an ideal marriage of Winbro’s world-leading technology in non-conventional machining and ETG’s broad base across many industrial sectors. Wherever ETG’s customers have a problem that cannot be addressed with conventional machines, Winbro can potentially offer a solution.”

From ETG’s side, Graeme Thomas is overseeing the Project at Director Level and will guide Mark Coville who will be supporting it at Product Manager Level.
